Turning 4
I am finding that Ava turning 4 years old is proving to be a very trying time for all! Recently she has become increasingly mouthy and defiant; sometimes even blatantly mean. This evening she got in trouble for not listening. I was talking to her, asking why she was finding it so difficult to behave and follow instructions. She responded "Mommy, I just have a very hard time controlling my body and stopping it from doing things". So, there you have it. If you encounter a non-listening 4 year old, remember they have a hard time controlling their bodies. They may know that what they are doing is wrong, but the ability to control yourself apparently comes later! Go figure.
wow! I made it!
I actually tried to blog yesterday, unsuccessfully. I was trying to blog from my iPhone and it just wouldn't work. I was bummed cause at this point I do most computer related things via iPhone, unless I get a few quiet minutes during the day. And I must say, I love the touch screen. i
If I could get an eeepc with touch screen capabilities I would be in heaven!!!

Blog, blog, blog
So I thought that it would be fun to try and maintain the blog and update the entries more regularly. We'll see how it goes in the new year. I am thinking that I will try to blog and scrapbook a little each day. My ultimate goal would be a page and an entry per day, but it may end up more as a weekly thing. Who knows. At the moment I am just trying to keep up with everything that we have planned for the next few weeks. Family coming into town for the New Year, Ava's birthday & party, and of course everyday life with 3 kids under 4 years old (translation: LAUNDRY, LAUNDRY & MORE LAUNDRY). At the moment, they are all sick with stuffy noses and coughs. Kind of annoying, but it could be worse. Duty calls....gotta go send someone to their room!

Here we go again....
So, I figured I should try this again since it has been about a year since my last successful post! Really its cause I'm sitting here at 5:12 am and the house is quiet.
Liam is starting preschool this summer, so we are doing an introductory class at the moment. He loves it, as it is in the same classroom as Ava attends regularly, with Ava's teacher! What a big boy!!!
Of course, Ava loves being the big sister and showing Liam around. Its really very cute to watch. She holds his hand to lead him outside, they ride a double trike together in the play yard and they love doing the art projects together.
I'm so glad that they are so close!
